This Republican has made an incredible observation over the past few days. Senator Obama makes even the Clintons look good. Frequent readers know I am no Clinton fan. I believe with all my heart Hillary deserved the Democratic presidential nomination. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who despises most everything the Clintons have stood for.
While listening to the O’Reilly Radio Factor this week, I came to realize patriotism will decide who wins this election. Patriotism is a critical qualification one running for President must posess. I may not agree with anything Hillary stands for politically, but when it comes to the love for her country, I cannot question that. I firmly believe right or wrong, Hillary loves the United States of America, and wanted to make changes she believed would benefit the entire country. I personally do not believe the propositions she made would move us in the right direction, but I would never question her intentions.
Obama promises to make change. Only in the past few days has he declared a love for this country. Mr. Obama, it’s gonna be awful hard to “change” a country you do not believe in. What does this mean? Well, it can only mean one thing….we could cease to exist as a country. Our very own cultural diversity and religious “freedoms” are driving us into the very thing our forefathers struggled to alienate themselves from.
Consider this: Patriotism is that love for country in the hearts of the people which shall make that country strong to resist foreign opposition and domestic intrigue-which impresses each and every individual with a sense of the inalienable rights of others and prepares him to accept the responsibility of protecting those rights. -American Tribune, March 7, 1890
